Hot Wheels Car Culture 2-Pack Mix 3 has been out in the wild for quite some time now.

These 2-Packs are some of my favorites, as they feature two sibling or closely related diecasts, packed neatly with cool-looking card art.

With each mix consisting of three 2-Packs, Mix 3 did a good job of capturing the attention of collectors. However, I would like to see better pairings soon, which will likely come in Mix 4 (I’ll cover it soon).

1. Subaru CROSSTREK 2-Pack (JBK98) – For Off-Road Lovers

This Subaru 2-Pack consists of two off-road castings:

  • Subaru CROSSTREK
  • 2018 Toyota 4Runner

Clearly, this 2-Pack is for SUV and off-road lovers. The castings are well-designed with great color choices: the Subaru CROSSTREK comes with a red livery and golden wheels, while the Toyota 4Runner sports a white livery with black wheels!

The Subaru CROSSTREK is a powerful SUV with 8.7 inches of ground clearance and symmetrical All-Wheel Drive for better control over varying terrain. Its 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine produces 152 horsepower.

It’s also fairly quick, reaching 0–60 mph in about 8.1 to 9.5 seconds.

However, I’m not sure which Subaru CROSSTREK version is included in this 2-Pack. It could be the 2025 version or one from previous years.

The second car, the 2018 Toyota 4Runner, is a midsize SUV with a more powerful 4.0-liter V6 engine capable of producing 270 horsepower.

It also has higher ground clearance compared to the Subaru CROSSTREK at 9.6 inches (and it looks like it too… even in the packaging. Nice job, Mattel!). In terms of acceleration, it can reach 0–60 mph in about 7.5 to 7.8 seconds.

Overall, I like what’s on offer here: two powerful, durable, and rugged SUVs.

2. ROB N’ Pinks 2-Pack (JBL01) – For Drag Racing Fans

If you’re feeling bored with road cars, supercars, or off-road vehicles, then you must check out this creative ROB N’ PINKS 2-Pack by Hot Wheels.

This 2-Pack consists of two cars:

  • ’72 Plymouth Cuda FC
  • Rob’n Pinks

Both these cars are excellent, and their bodies open up so you can see the internals. Hot Wheels has adopted them as drag racing funny cars.

The ’72 Plymouth Cuda FC is part of the Hot Wheels Dragstrip Demons series. It was designed by Rob Matthes and debuted in 2009.

Under the hood, the 1972 Plymouth Cuda runs on a powerful V8 engine.

The Rob’n Pinks is a fantasy casting also designed by Rob Matthes. Being a funny car, its body can open to reveal the interior details.

Overall, both these diecasts are a great pick for anyone who loves dragstrip cars and doesn’t mind adding a fantasy casting to their collection.

3. Toyota Supra 2-Pack (JBL03) – For JDM Collectors

The third entry in the 2025 Hot Wheels Car Culture 2-Pack series is the incredibly popular Toyota Supra pack.

The two cars that come in the package are:

  • Toyota 2000GT
  • Toyota Supra

Both are excellent choices for a 2-Pack. I especially like the card art, as it showcases each car’s strengths—aggressive front-end, aerodynamic styling, and Toyota’s strong legacy.

The first casting, the Toyota 2000GT, is a Japanese sports car with a limited run of only 337 units worldwide. It is a classic, produced from 1967 to 1970.

It’s powered by a 2.9-liter inline 6-cylinder DOHC engine, capable of producing 150 horsepower and hitting 0–62 mph (0–100 km/h) in just 8.6 seconds.

Moreover, the car also carries cultural significance, as it was featured as James Bond’s car in You Only Live Twice.

The second casting, the Toyota Supra, needs no introduction. It is arguably the most popular Toyota sports car of all time. After all—it’s a Supra!

For new collectors, the Supra is a legendary sports car with a rich history, debuting in 1979. To date, there have been five generations of Supras. Judging by the packaging, this 2-Pack features the iconic Mk4 Supra (4th generation), which can reach 0–60 mph in just 4.9 seconds! It runs on a 3.0-liter twin-turbo engine, which solidified its reputation.

Final Thoughts

The Hot Wheels Premium Car Culture 2-Pack Mix 3 is a bit of a mixed bag. The car choices are decent, but many collectors will still recognize the value of these epic 2-Packs.
