Mattel is still pushing new stock in India. This time, they released the Hot Wheels 2025 Hybrid Speed Silver Series set. It is a 5-car set with the following cars to choose from:
- 1/5 – BMW i8 Roadster in Pearl white
- 2/5 – Lamborghini Sián FKP 37 in Metallic deep red
- 3/5 – Mclaren F1 in bright green
- 4/5 – Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Sport Turismo in sky blue
- 5/5 – ‘17 Acura NSX in glossy black
This release comes just a few days after the BMW silver series restock. It was widely available through offline and online stores, including Amazon, ScaleArtWorks, and Karzanddolls.
The Silver Series is a mid-tier semi-premium assortment from Mattel. It offers good detail at affordable pricing. Before GST cuts, the semi-premiums were retailing at 299 INR per car. As GST is not 5% instead of 12%, the semi-premiums should be available.
A look at each of the Hot Wheels Hybrid cars
The Hybrid Speed set contains 5 cars that offer hybrid performance by combining electric motors with internal combustion engines. So, if you’re a hybrid car fan, then the set is a must-have for you.
All cars in the set are awesome! My personal picks would be the ‘17 Acura NSX. It looks great in glossy black.

However, the Sian FKP 37 and McLaren P1 also look stunning.
If you’re a BMW fan, you’ll love the BMW i8 roadster, which showcases BMW’s engineering with its hybrid technology. It is automatic and offers great driverability with its unique aero design.

The McLaren P1 needs no introduction. It is a sports car and a spiritual successor to F1. It was first shown at the 2012 Paris Motor Show, and has a carbon fibre monocoque with rear wheel drive. There are only 375 units in the world.

Next comes the Sian FKP 37. It is also a mid-engine hybrid sports car, just like the McLaren P1. It was first produced in 2020, with only 63 units ever produced.

The last car in the set is the Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid Turismo. That’s a long name! It is more of a luxury car than a sports car. It is part of the Porsche Panamera series of cars. The Turbo S version offers turbochargers to the standard Panamera Turbo’s 4.8-litre V8 engine. Even with a focus on luxury, the car is fast and can reach 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds.

My take on the new Hybrid Speed 2025
Overall, I am impressed with the Hybrid Speed semi-premium set. It has plenty to offer for collectors, especially if you like sports cars, but don’t worry about hybrid engines.
The castings look detailed, and the card art is right on point. However, I didn’t like the BMW i8 Roadster tires. In fact, the tire choices on the set are questionable from what it looks like in the photos.
Once I get my hands on the set, I’ll further elaborate on my take here and on my Max Diecast YouTube channel. So, follow now to keep updated.
